How do the children of mankind even know that they are able to take refuge in the Lord? How do the victims of human trafficking find refuge in the Lord? We know that when they are recused there are many programs and organizations that can help them have some what of a normal life. But we know that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way to find true refuge from danger, true peace in the storm, true healing from abuse. It’s time for the church to open its doors and be the refuge for these victims. Be The Refuge will go above and beyond just bringing awareness to human trafficking. So we’re aware now, great! Now we need to act, now we need to help. And it’s not just doing a march/rally, holding a sign, drawing a red X on our hand for a picture to post. It’s helping out non-profit organizations in our local communities, it’s volunteering to mentor, it’s donating food and clothing, it’s working with our local police departments with how we can help, it’s opening our homes for women and children who need a place to stay and many many more things. My plan and goal is to find non-profits all over the country who are working on the front lines helping women and children and connect you to them so you can help out, right in your own communities. I will also be working hard finding the true organizations that we should be supporting, rooting out the ones that don’t benefit the victims hardly at all, and shining a light on the organizations that are the real deal and are actually doing the hard work, these organizations need YOUR help! Let’s do what the Body of Christ does best and work together on this. 💗 #BeTheRefuge
